I did a hike with Papa Joe and the crew at the
Gardner Hill Town Forest in Stow, and we hiked by a nice campsite along the
Assabet River. It has a fire pit, benches, picnic table and nearby boat launch. It can be used for group camping with a
permit from the
Stow Conservation Commission. I don’t remember exactly where it is, but it is down near the
Orange Trail across from the airport. Dan knows where it is and has already talked to the conservation commission about camping there in the spring. I'm in!
