I didn’t have a lot of time to paddle today, so I decided to
check out the progress of the new park down at the Manville Dam. I put in at Rivers Edge and paddled
down to Manville. I saw several
herons along the way, but they are elusive and won’t hang around for a
picture.
The park looks like it is done, but it is still fenced off. The new dock and boat ramp are in place. I like the way they exposed the old
mill race which runs to the old Manville Mill site across the street.
Hopfully it will be open soon.
